OUR CHURCH
Bethany Presbyterian Church is a small, family-friendly congregation in the historic and vibrant Gordon Square Arts District of the near west side of Cleveland, Ohio.
Bethany Presbyterian is a multicultural, multi-racial congregation! We are African-American, Hispanic and Caucasian, worshipping together and praising God for all the diversity with which God has blessed us. Bethany is an open and affirming congregation that welcomes everyone!
Bethany strives to serve our neighborhood and community, and to live the love of God in Christ. It is or goal, as St. Francis said, "to preach the gospel to all the world, and, if neccessary, use words!"
We take seriously our call to be the hands and feet of Christ in and for the world here and now, as we work to bring about the already-and-not-yet kingdom of God.
Bethany Presbyterian Church is a member of the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) in the Presbytery of the Western Reserve.
OUR PASTOR
Our pastor is The Rev. Sharon Grace Sherwin Budin. Sharon Grace holds a Bachelor's of Fine Arts from Kent State University, as well as a Master's of Arts from Chicago Theological Seminary and Master's of Divinity from Ashalnd Theological Seminary. Sharon Grace came to ministry as a second career following a career in Early Childhood and Art Education. Her passion is Liturgical Arts.
Sharon Grace is married to Noah Budin. TOgether they have three young adult children, Zachary, Rachel and Mariah and one precious grandson, Thomas. They currently share their home and hearts with two dogs, Mazel and Tov.
MUSIC:
Organist: Our organist is Ms. Kathleen Bosl. Kathleen joined our staff in 2019.Kathleen has a Bachelor of Music and Music Education from Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music in Voice and Piano. She has done intensive post graduate work in voice. Kathleen is a gifted and talented musician who enhances the beauty of our worship with music on both the organ and the piano. Kathleen has a rich history of choir directing, accompaniment, theatrical performance, and music instruction.
Guitarist: Noah Budin is a nationally recognized singer, songwriter, and preforming artist who often graces, and always enhances our worship when he does. Noah writes spiritually uplifting music in a folk style. For more information or to order his CD's or Songbook visit www.noahbudin.com
